Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her highly laudable performance in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The film Piano won her an Oscar. Her career in acting started in Broadway by performing in a range of Broadway as well as Off Broadway initiatives. Acting has always been her passion. In fifth grade, she portrayed Helen Keller in an original show. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one of her ears, but this did not stop her from pursuing her dream. As a teenager, Hunter studied drama and then moved into New York City. In a chance encounter she became stuck in an elevator alongside playwright Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the Broadway Crimes of the Heart and was Hunter's first performance. After moving to Los Angeles she tried to find film roles, and was able to secure a supporting role in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in several television series, films and films over the course of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
